Ans: 1) Living organisms require energy to perform various activities.

  i) Energy giving nutrients –   Carbohydrates & fat.

        Ans: - On the basis of chemical nature nutrients are of two types -
        1) Organic nutrients                  2) Inorganic nutrients.
Organic nutrients which contain carbohydrates, fats, proteins are animal & plant origin. Plants get their nutrients from inorganic substance present in & atmosphere through leaves & roots.
